My name is Myriam Levine-Kay. I am a former professional choreographer & digital filmmaker (MA in film studies). In June 2021, I lost my home in a fire tragedy. I created this digital Dance Museum , while living in transitional housing (for women who've lost their homes) for a period of 8 months. The present objective of my dance museum is to help me raise enough donations to move out of transitional housing and have a home again. Thank you for not remaining indifferent and for offering your gift of support.

About This Gallery:
Persian Dance traditionally was performed by women, while men accompanied on musical instruments. In the ancient times, dancers in Persia received patronage of nobility and kings, (and did not have to "entertain the commoners" to earn survival income). King's Patronage allowed artists to strive for a culturally-sophisticated movement vocabulary, refined dance aesthetics and advanced choreography skills.
